Pumpkin Festival

October 17, 2020 @ 11:00 am - 4:00 pm

EVENT CANCELED FOR 2020

Due to challenging circumstances, Renfrew Museum and Park and The Institute at Renfrew have decided not to host their annual Pumpkin Festival, originally scheduled for Sat., October 17, 2020.

While this traditional event, a joint fundraiser for the two organizations, will not take place on the grounds of Renfrew Park this year, organizers instead invite the community to celebrate the season at Renfrew during the month of October.

PUMPKIN PATCH AND SCARECROW KITS FOR SALE!

Family-friendly activities include a “Pumpkin Patch” with pumpkins available for purchase, generously donated by Hess Farms and Winterbrook Farms.

In addition to pumpkins, “scarecrow kits” will also be available—with all supplies to make your own scarecrow, including pants, shirt, newspaper, string, pins, and instructions. Scarecrow-making is one of Pumpkin Festival’s most popular activities and event organizers are pleased that the tradition will continue in this modified format.

Pumpkins and scarecrow kits are offered in the museum’s gift shop through the month of October, while supplies last. Suggested donations are $3, $5, or $7 for pumpkins, according to size, and $5 for the scarecrow kit. The sales are a fundraiser to benefit both organizations.

The Renfrew Visitors Center, located at 1010 E. Main Street, is open Monday–Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with additional Saturday hours, 1 to 4 p.m., through Oct. 17. (Closed Sat., October 3.)
